LumaScopeApplication and provider
These terms apply to LumaScope: Light Meter & Log for Android, provided by GBApps. Contact: mail@gbapps.company. They describe permitted use and practical limits of the app. Mandatory consumer rights and other rights that applicable law does not allow to be waived remain unaffected.
Free use and licence
LumaScope’s functions are free to use, without ads, subscriptions or registration. GBApps grants you a non-exclusive right to install and use the app for lawful personal or professional purposes. This does not transfer ownership of its original code, brand or artwork. Third-party components remain subject to their respective licences; included notices apply.
Measurement limitations
Results depend on your phone’s sensor range, resolution, position, camera metadata and calibration. Camera illuminance requires reference calibration and consistent reference-surface geometry. PPFD, DLI, exposure, ND and video calculations are estimates based on the selected inputs and assumptions. They are not a guarantee of plant health, photographic results or certified photometric accuracy. Use an appropriately certified instrument for regulatory, laboratory or safety-critical decisions.
Recording and device restrictions
Start recordings yourself from the open app and manage them through the app or recording notification. Android permissions, battery management, temperature, storage and other apps can limit availability or interrupt a session. Background camera use requires camera permission and keeps the camera active during that session. A session is limited to 24 hours. Recorded gaps and interrupted status do not mean continuous coverage of an unobserved period.
Your data and backups
You control measurements and content you enter. Keep independent backups of information you need. Uninstalling the app, clearing storage, device loss or storage failure can remove local data. Exported files remain your responsibility at the chosen destination. No cloud recovery service is provided. Data handling is described in the privacy policy.
Responsible use
Use the app in compliance with applicable law and respect other people’s privacy when pointing a camera. Do not use it to violate others’ rights, interfere with devices or services, or distribute a modified app as an official GBApps release. These terms do not restrict uses, inspection or modification that you are entitled to under applicable law or a relevant open-source licence.
Updates and availability
The app is provided in its available version. Updates may change features, supported devices or these terms; material changes will be described in the updated terms or relevant release information. GBApps does not promise that every device supports every source or that operation will be uninterrupted. There are no in-app purchases or subscriptions to cancel under the current version.
Responsibility and applicable rights
To the extent permitted by applicable law, no promise is made that estimates will meet a particular accuracy, purpose or outcome. Responsibility for loss or damage is determined by applicable law and the circumstances. Nothing here excludes or limits liability, warranties or remedies that cannot legally be excluded or limited. No special arbitration procedure or foreign governing jurisdiction is imposed by this page.
